GUY PALMER

REHEARSAL DIRECTOR

Guy Beaumont Palmer was born on January 21, 1990, in London, England. He lived there until the age of five, when his family moved to the United States. His journey into dance began through Dennis Wayne's Culture Shop, which led to his participation in a workshop and a subsequent position with Ballet Florida under the direction of Marie Hale. In addition to dancing, Guy worked in the Ballet Florida box office to help fund his tuition.

Guy attended Bak Middle School of the Arts and later, Dreyfoos High School of the Arts, where he further honed his craft. After graduating, he spent his teenage years dancing across the U.S. before moving to Mannheim, Germany, at the age of 18 to attend university. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance, Teaching, and Choreography from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim. However, a significant injury at school led him to stop dancing.

After university, Guy expanded his knowledge by obtaining a Diamond certificate from the Gemological Institute of America. He also began working as a choreographer with Ballet Florida.

In 2022, Guy founded Maison Palmer, a company that curates and activates spaces with unique art exhibitions featuring living and working artists from the Palm Beach County community. Since its inception, Maison Palmer has hosted six exhibitions at Studio 1608 in West Palm Beach, with Guy now incorporating dance into these creative showcases.
