ALEXANDRA SAFRAN
STUDIO MANAGER
Ms. Safran joined Ballet Florida’s Performance Company in 2018 and became Studio Manager in 2022. In addition to her dance career as a classical ballet dancer, she has been a film producer and creative director with the Los Angeles-based film production company Terratone since 2022, where she collaborates on innovative projects that merge artistic vision with impactful storytelling.
Ms. Safran’s dance history and training: She was born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. She began her dance training at age three under the direction of Joan Miller at the Palm Beach Ballet Center. Throughout her time there, Ms. Safran’s training emphasized classical ballet technique, jazz, and modern dance.
Ms. Safran earned her first B.A. in Drama Studies from SUNY Purchase College in White Plains, New York. After returning to Florida, she began teaching at Jupiter Dance Academy, where she has served as the classical ballet instructor for the Student Academy’s Company division since 2012. In this role, she specializes in preparing students for ballet performances, auditions, and competitions, including prestigious events like the Tremaine Dance Convention and Youth America Grand Prix.
In line with her passion for advocacy, Ms. Safran received her second B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 2021, focusing on policy issues including animal rights and healthcare reform.
